Airdrie Home & Lifestyle Show: April 29-30th
Visit us at Genesis place in Airdrie for the Home & Lifestyle show. Bring the kids by to play on our Rainbow play system and check out what’s new for 2017. There will also be great show specials. We hope to see you there!

Calgary Horticultural Society Garden Show: April 29-30th
Check out the annual garden show at Spruce Meadows. Visit our booth and check out what’s new for 2017 and get the first annuals and perennials of the season. There will also be great show specials. There will be lots of experts and new and interesting gardening items for 2017!
 

Living Green Seminars & Workshops:

To register for a class call 403.226.0468. All classes must be paid at time of registration.
Our seminars and workshops are a fun and interactive way to discover a passion for design and gardening. Make it an outing with your kids, friends or significant other. We encourage early registration as class sizes are limited. Seminars and workshops have a fee that is due at time of registration. If you are not able to attend a class please cancel as soon as possible to allow space for others. Classes are non-refundable and non-transferrable. All our seminars and workshops are open to children but they must be accompanied by an adult unless otherwise stated. All pictures are just representations of what will be made, your personal touch and creativity is required.

Register for a workshop and get your hands dirty building a project that you are proud to take home and show off, with help from our experts. Workshop project registration will be applied to the cost of materials used to build your creation. Each project will vary in price depending on the materials you choose, but a starting point is provided below.
Sign up for a seminar and learn from our experts the skills, knowledge and materials you will need to complete a project on your own. We will provide you an expert to teach you how and give you the confidence to try yourself. Most seminars are a forty minute talk with project examples and materials. We end the seminar with a question period where you can gain answers to your specific questions. We look forward to having fun together!
 

Pallet Gardening Seminar

Saturday April 22nd from 1-2pm
Learn how to recycle a wooden pallet into a magnificent vertical garden. Pallets can be converted very simply into a container garden that will provide interest in your landscape and also allow you to grow vegetables, herbs, annuals and much more in a smaller space while also being environmentally responsible. This is a seminar where we will provide ideas on how to build different designs from pallets.

Edibles for Small Spaces Workshop

Sunday April 23rd from 1-2pm
Learn what are the best vegetables and herbs for growing in small spaces. We will teach about companion planting, how to achieve high yields and how to get the best results from your small garden or container. This class is great for anyone who wants to learn to grow their own food but has limited space. Choose from our amazing selection of containers or bring your own empty container to make a small herb garden. Materials for this class will be $20 or more.

Container Gardening Workshop

Saturday May 6th from 1-2pm
Sunday May 7th from 1-2pm

Canada’s 150th Celebration Planters Workshop

Saturday May 13th from 1-2pm
New for 2017! Canada Red & White Containers are a great way to celebrate Canada`s 150th Birthday and show your pride for our amazing country. In this workshop you will learn how to build beautiful arrangements to suit your space by choosing the correct container and different red and white plant material. Choose from our amazing selection of containers or bring your own empty container. Sign your children up for the Children`s Edibles Workshop and you can all have fun! Materials for this class will be $20 or more.

Children’s Edibles Container Gardening Workshop

Saturday May 13th from 1-2pm
This workshop is for Children. Mother’s Day is Sunday May 14th, what a great gift idea for mom! Have fun and get dirty! Kids will plant and learn how to care for their own vegetable container garden. This workshop will include all supplies with the registration fee of $15. We would also like to encourage people to bring a snack and let their children play on our play systems, after the workshop.
 
Planning an outing with your friends, family or your team at work? We do private/group classes, just call or send an email to bluegrass@telus.net. We can do team building activities, organized groups meetings with a twist or any other outing.
